Moss was born on February 13, 1977. He is an American football player. He
played with the Minnesota Vikings (Oak Raiders), New England Patriots (New
England Patriots), Tennessee Titans (Tennessee Titans) as well as the San
Francisco 49ers in the National Football League. Alongside Jerry Rice, he is
generally regarded as the most outstanding wide receiver in history. He holds
the NFL single year touchdown record (23 in 2007), and the rookie NFL single
season touchdown record (17 in 1998). He also ranks in the top spot in the NFL
all-time regular season touchdown list with 156. Moss is famous for his ability
to secure contested catches. The word "mossed" is a term that has now
entered the football vocabulary, was famous because of this. Moss began his
career as a studio analyst with ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown and Tuesday Night
Countdown shows. Moss was born in Rand, West Virginia. He attended DuPont High
School, one of two schools eventually merged into Riverside High School, where
the student excelled in football basketball, baseball, and track. Randy was
also on the school's debate team. Moss was the captain of the DuPont Panthers
football team to two consecutive state championships in 1992 and 1993. His star
position was wide receiver. However, Moss also played safety for free as well
as punted kickoffs and was the team's punter and kicker. He received the
Kennedy Award for West Virginia Football Player of the Year in the year 1994.
Parade magazine named him to their All-American high-school football team in
1995 and in 2009, he was named as one of the top 50 footballers from high
school ever.
